Riverquest Saturdays with CSC: Learn about Marcellus shale

Posted on September 16, 2011 by

It seems fitting that a new Pittsburgh blog can’t get through it’s first week without the Marcellus Shale coming up.  What to do with it may be controversial, but I for one just need to learn more about it.  This is why I want to share with you a really great opportunity join Riverquest to the explore the geology of the shale and try some demonstrations to understanding the mining technology required to extract natural gas from it.  This is presented with the Carnegie Science Center, which means it will be fun and informative.

These tours leave three times a day (11, 12 and 2) from the Riverquest dock (by the Carnegie Science Center, downtown)  every Saturday through October. The price of the voyage is less than a movie ticket, so check it out and let us know what you think!
